CHARLESTON, W.Va., April 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- In a promising development for Fayetteville's water infrastructure, West Virginia American Water has unveiled plans for a substantial $550,000 project aimed at improving services on E. Maple Avenue. This initiative underscores the company's commitment to enhancing infrastructure statewide.

This venture is part of a broader plan by West Virginia American Water to invest over $134 million in infrastructure improvements throughout 2026, aimed at bolstering economic vitality in the service areas. According to economic impact studies, every $1 million spent on water infrastructure is associated with the creation of 10 jobs within local economies.

Over the last ten years, the company has funneled more than $805 million into infrastructure enhancements, including the installation of over 168 miles of new water mains across West Virginia.
