UAW Launches Ambitious Political Program to Elect Kamala Harris

The UAW is initiating its largest political effort in decades to elect Kamala Harris as the next U.S. President. This program includes mobilizing UAW members online, at worksites, and with a door-to-door initiative to promote a pro-worker, anti-corporate greed agenda.

On Wednesday, August 14, members will join a mass call to discuss the election stakes, union issues, and the movement to win against the billionaire class in November.

At UAWStandUp2024.org, members can access resources, videos, flyers, and factual information about the candidates' records, and the UAW's readiness to act in November.

UAW's one million active and retired members will be a crucial support base for the Harris-Walz campaign, particularly in Michigan and key battleground states like Ohio, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania. In 2020, UAW members made up 9.2% of Biden-Harris votes in Michigan.

The UAW's campaign strategy follows the vision of 2023’s Stand Up strike, aiming to unite the working class and lead a "Stand Up, Speak Up, Show Up" movement to challenge the billionaire class at the polls.
