Dearborn, MI – The Tool & Die Unit at Ford’s River Rouge Complex will strike on Thursday, September 26 if local contract issues aren't resolved.
After failing to reach a local agreement with UAW Local 600, Tool & Die Unit at the Rouge Complex, UAW Vice President Chuck Browning has received authorization from UAW President Shawn Fain to set a strike deadline for 11:59 p.m., Wednesday, Sept 25.
The core issues in the Tool & Die Unit’s local negotiations include job security, wage parity for Skilled Trades, and work rules.
Apart from UAW’s national contracts, UAW members negotiate local agreements on plant-specific issues at each facility.
