K&M Tire Dekalb IL

Members of Teamsters Local 330 recently ratified their inaugural collective bargaining agreement with K&M Tire. Covering 43 drivers and warehouse workers at the Dekalb facility, the contract signifies a substantial victory for the workers, who have overcome a hefty anti-union campaign by their employer.

"With the successful ratification of their first union contract, K&M Tire Teamsters now have a structure providing fairness, dignity, and respect," asserts Dominic Romanazzi, President of Local 330 in Elgin.

The three-year agreement features a variety of improvements. These include routine wage increases, the establishment of a grievance procedure, and language permitting workers to honor picket lines. Further additions are time and a half pay on Saturdays, double pay on Sundays, two sick days, jury duty pay, and severance pay.

Representing both public and private sector workers across various industries like waste, construction, warehouse, beverage, etc., in Western Suburbs of Illinois, Teamsters Local 330 continues to champion workers' rights.
