Washington, D.C. — April 24, 2024 — NABTU Endorses Biden and Harris

Today, the North America's Building Trades Unions (NABTU) is set to endorse Joe Biden for President and Kamala Harris for Vice President at their annual national legislative conference. The announcement is expected to be made front of thousands of NABTU members gathered from across the country. NABTU, a representative organization for over 3 million union construction professionals, has issued an official statement through its President Sean McGarvey.

McGarvey highlighted Biden's dedication to the reconstruction of the nation's infrastructure, manufacturing sector, and the American middle class. His administration's accomplishments, such as the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the Chips and Science Act, and the Inflation Reduction Act, have introduced transformative opportunities for working families.

Additionally, Biden's regulatory efforts, including strengthening the Davis-Bacon prevailing wage protections, fighting worker misclassification, and repealing the IRAPs, have been touted as victories for workers, contractors, and American taxpayers. McGarvey contrasted this with the previous Trump administration, citing its failure to deliver on infrastructure investment and instead favoring tax cuts for the wealthy.

Biden is praised as the perfect leader for the working men and women of the country, leading to NABTU's endorsement. In the upcoming months, NABTU plans to launch a massive member engagement program in key battleground states to highlight the importance of Biden's policies for economic security and freedom.
