UAW and CNH Industrial Reach Tentative Five-Year Contract Agreement

The United Auto Workers (UAW) has announced a preliminary labor agreement with CNH Industrial for its facility in Racine. This proposed contract, if ratified, will cover approximately 300 union members over a span of five years.

The Racine facility is instrumental in the manufacture of Case IH Magnum high-horsepower tractors, contributing significantly to the agricultural equipment industry in the United States.

"This tentative agreement reflects the strength and solidarity of our members in Racine," stated UAW Vice President Laura Dickerson, Ag/Imp Department Director. "Workers stood together to win meaningful wage increases, improvements in health and safety protections, stronger retirement benefits, and commitments that help secure the future of this plant and the jobs it supports."

The agreement promises enhanced job security and delivers substantial economic benefits for both production and skilled trades workers, featuring a 22% wage increase for production staff and a 29% wage increase for skilled trades personnel throughout the agreement's duration. Additional provisions include notable advancements in health and safety measures, healthcare, and retirement benefits.

The UAW members at the Racine plant will now review the tentative agreement and participate in a ratification vote.
