Meta and NABTU Join Forces to Support Skilled Trades in the U.S.

A new collaboration between Meta and North America’s Building Trades Unions (NABTU) is set to bolster the nation's skilled trades workforce. Through this partnership, both organizations aim to expand their combined efforts over time and foster a supportive environment for trades workers across the country.

The backdrop of this partnership is the surging need for skilled tradespeople, driven by the expansion of the nation’s AI infrastructure. Meta and NABTU are dedicated to facilitating access to essential training, credentials, and employment opportunities for these workers who are pivotal to the AI economy.

This initiative builds on Meta’s recently launched Future Is For Everyone Fund, designed to invest in local teachers, first responders, and infrastructure in energy and water. The partnership signals a long-term commitment from both Meta and NABTU to ensure that workers and communities involved in constructing America’s AI infrastructure reap tangible benefits. To achieve this, Meta’s Workforce Academy will collaborate with NABTU’s Registered Apprenticeship programs, creating viable career paths in the skilled trades.
