UAW CAP Conference 2026: Building Power for the Working Class

Nearly 1,000 union members will gather in Washington, D.C., from February 8 to 11 for the UAW's biannual Community Action Program (CAP) Conference. This event aims to empower the working class through strategic planning.

The conference will be centered on the UAW's political goals and will address four primary issues: wages, health care, retirement, and time off. Additionally, discussions will tackle challenges to the American Dream caused by corporate greed and divisive politics.

On February 9, UAW President Shawn Fain is scheduled to deliver a keynote speech that will outline the union's strategy to challenge the billionaire class.

On the closing day, February 11, a candidate forum for Michigan's U.S. Senate race will be held. This event is part of the morning plenary and will be broadcast live on UAW's social media platforms.
