This month, Teamsters Local 243 members at UPS Cartage Services Inc. (CSI) voted unanimously to ratify their inaugural Teamster contract. The decision follows their overwhelming choice last December to join Local 243 in Romulus, Michigan.

Elements of the new contract include wage increases, insurance coverage under TeamCare, and pension benefits. "These workers have shown unity since joining our union. Their key demands were heard during negotiations. We're proud to represent these members and help them secure this considerable first contract," said Scott Quenneville, President of Local 243.

The group consists of 15 office clerks working for a UPS division specializing in high volume freight import and export. They’re part of a growing trend of office workers at other CSI locations also aligning with Teamsters.

Teamsters Local 243, representing workers in diverse Michigan industries, continues its growth. For more information, visit the Teamsters Local 243 official website.
