Wastewater Tech Daniel Ellis Wins Never Quit Service Award
Dedicated Worker Ensures Clean Water for Houston
In the heart of Houston, Daniel Ellis diligently contributes to the health and safety of the city as a wastewater operations tech. His role at one of the city’s wastewater treatment plants is crucial, ensuring that the community has access to clean water and that aquatic life is preserved.
Ellis shares his motivation, stating, “What drives me every day to get out of bed and go to work is the fact that I know that I’m making an impact on the community. Helping people is what I strive to do.”
As a member of HOPE AFSCME Local 123, Ellis has earned the admiration of his colleagues. Plant supervisor Joshua Davis commends him, noting, “Daniel is very determined. He’s a go-getter and he’s going to keep after it until he gets what he needs to get done.”
