Washington, D.C. – December 16, 2025 – North America’s Building Trades Unions (NABTU) has voiced a strong stance on workplace safety following a tragic event in Missouri. In a statement, NABTU President Sean McGarvey extended condolences to those impacted by the recent violence, highlighting the union’s commitment to a violence-free work environment.
“On behalf of North America’s Building Trades Unions, our affiliates, and our more than 3 million members, we extend our deepest condolences to the victim and their loved ones following Friday’s horrific jobsite violence in Missouri. Our hearts are with the families and all those affected. There is absolutely no place for violence on job sites or in any workplace, and NABTU condemns it in all forms. Everyone should be able to go to work and return home safely, free from harm,” stated McGarvey.
