Sun Country Fleet Service Workers Secure Landmark Contract

(MINNEAPOLIS) – Sun Country Airlines' fleet service employees have approved a landmark three-year contract with Teamsters Local 970, marking a significant step forward for the workforce. This newly ratified agreement, endorsed by a substantial 82 percent of the workers, is set to enhance wages, job security, and benefits for 200 employees.

The contract introduces improved pay structures aligning more closely with the aviation industry's standards and outlines precise guidelines for work assignments, scheduling, and overtime management. Additionally, it includes enhanced safety provisions to ensure a safer working environment and greater accountability from management.

Dave Saucedo, Director of the Teamsters Airline Division, stated, “This contract reflects what airline workers can achieve when they fight together. For the first time, Sun Country fleet service workers have a legally enforceable agreement that raises standards and ensures they are treated with the fairness and respect they’ve earned on the job.”

Since joining Local 970 in 2023, Sun Country fleet service workers have sought stability, fair compensation, and a more influential voice in their roles. This agreement is a testament to their pursuit of these goals.
