Workers Unite at Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity to Shape Their Future

ST. PAUL, Minn. – In a significant move toward empowering employees, workers at Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity have come together to form a union. This collective action underscores the strength found in unity and the potential for a brighter future.

The dedicated staff at Habitat not only assist families in establishing stable homes but also contribute to the community through the Habitat ReStore. This initiative makes home improvement materials accessible and funds the construction and repair of homes throughout the Twin Cities.

Earlier this month, over 100 employees spanning construction, real estate, ReStore operations, and program services have united under AFSCME Council 5. This unionization aims to enhance their work conditions and the well-being of the communities they serve.
