Jase Kinsey: Father, Union Leader, and Community Pillar in Miles City
The Multifaceted Life of a Miles City Local
Jase Kinsey, a resident of Miles City, Montana, is not just a devoted public servant but also a dedicated father and community member. Balancing his roles as a father of four boys, including a high-schooler and 10-year-old identical triplets, Kinsey exemplifies commitment and versatility.
Kinsey's journey into local government work was serendipitous. "A friend of mine caught me one day when I was working in a tire shop. He cornered me and said the city had a job opening," Kinsey recounts. "It was just a see-how-it-went kind of thing."
His initial job led him to become an active participant in the local union, AFSCME Local 283 (Council 9). Over time, Kinsey has undertaken numerous roles in serving Miles City, a tight-knit community in Eastern Montana.
Kinsey feels a profound connection between his work and the community. "Working in the parks for me is a lot of fun. We try to show the kids that the field maintenance matters," he shares. "It shows them that we care, we’re trying to help them excel in their sports. The community may not always notice, but it’s got to be done right."
His dedication extends beyond his professional duties. Kinsey ensures his children understand the importance of his work, taking pride in seeing community members enjoy the facilities he helps maintain. "I take a lot of pride in doing good work," he says.
Despite his packed schedule, Kinsey finds time for his passion for bowling, assisting with the local youth bowling group. His sister-in-law humorously describes him as "annoyingly perfect," capturing the essence of his well-rounded and exemplary character.
