AFSCME Members Support Year-Round Learning for Returning Students
The transition from summer break to the classroom can be a pivotal time for students, but AFSCME members are dedicated to ensuring a smooth return. Committed to fostering educational growth, they work tirelessly to support students both during the school year and over the summer months.
Among these devoted members is Kimberly Lee-Carey, a library instructional assistant with the Ohio Association of Public School Employees (OAPSE/AFSCME Local 4). Lee-Carey plays a crucial role in encouraging children to maintain their reading habits, even when school is out of session.
“Reading never stops,” Lee-Carey asserts, underscoring a key philosophy embraced by AFSCME members across the nation. Their dedication doesn't wane during the summer months; instead, they ensure that students have access to the resources needed to continue their educational journeys.
As students return to their classrooms, AFSCME members are there, ready and eager to support their learning experiences. Their efforts help students start the new academic year on a strong note, demonstrating the vital role these members play in the educational landscape.
