Teamsters Convene for Nationwide Webinar

Teamsters shop stewards at Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) recently participated in a national webinar to strategize on upcoming negotiations with the employer, America's largest agricultural co-operative.

“We gathered all shop stewards here today because you’re the front line of defense at DFA,” said Lou Villalvazo, Chairman of the DFA Teamsters National Bargaining Committee. “We need everyone to help educate, organize and mobilize members for a strong campaign at every DFA workplace.”

Local unions are collaborating with the Teamsters Food Processing Division to establish a unified national bargaining committee for the first time, aiming to secure optimal wages, benefits, and working conditions for DFA Teamsters.

“Every negotiation, whether with DFA or others, is met with excuses of bad timing,” said Jesse Case, Director of the Teamsters Food Processing Division. “It’s time to prioritize our members, who drive the company's success.”
