RNs to protest firing of union member at St. Mary’s Medical Center

St. Mary’s RNs to Address Union Member's Dismissal

Registered nurses at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Reno, Nevada, are organizing a press conference on Friday, February 6, to address the recent termination of a union bargaining team member by Prime Healthcare management. The nurses, affiliated with the National Nurses Organizing Committee/National Nurses United (NNOC/NNU), plan to highlight what they claim is an unjust dismissal.

According to the nurses, the termination followed a breach of a registered nurse's medical privacy. They allege that the nurse was dismissed on baseless charges without a comprehensive investigation. In response, the nurses are rallying to demonstrate their disapproval of such actions by Prime Healthcare.
