Significant Contract Victory for Shepper’s Distribution Drivers in Missouri

The drivers at Shepper’s Distribution in Columbia and Jefferson City, Missouri, have achieved a milestone by unanimously approving a contract that promises unprecedented benefits and wage hikes. Known for distributing Anheuser-Busch products and other beverages, the company has now set a new standard in employee contracts.

Matt Hall, President of Local 833, expressed his satisfaction, emphasizing the role of collective bargaining in securing remarkable job conditions. "This is emblematic of the unparalleled wages and benefits workers get when they’re protected by a Teamsters contract," Hall noted. The agreement will see a 10 percent wage increase over three years, a landmark raise for drivers who have not witnessed such increments in 25 years, without forfeiting any existing benefits.

Shepper’s drivers, such as Zach Wolken, have underscored the importance of union membership for career advancement and have invited others to join the movement. “We’re lucky to have prosperous middle-class careers thanks to our Teamsters membership, but there’s no reason other beer drivers shouldn’t have what we have,” Wolken stated. He encouraged potential members to expect significant raises and to join the fight for working-class prosperity.
