In a significant development for workers at Bazooka’s Ring Pop facility in Moosic, Pennsylvania, approximately 60 employees represented by Teamsters Local 229 have successfully negotiated a new contract. This agreement, which spans three years, ensures a 15 percent wage boost, more accessible health care options, enhancements to the pension plan provided by Teamsters, improved vacation policies, better shift differentials, and refined profit-sharing terms.

"This contract is a major win for the hardworking men and women at Bazooka," stated Joe Secor, Vice President and Business Agent of Local 229, highlighting the importance of the workers' contributions to the production of Ring Pops. "I'm proud of the unity and determination this group showed throughout negotiations," he added.

The Teamsters at the Bazooka site are integral to the company's operations, handling essential tasks in production, maintenance, shipping, packaging, and quality control. Their efforts ensure that products reach consumers nationwide efficiently.

Reflecting on the achievement, Bernie Hoover, a long-serving employee and steward with Local 229, remarked, "I've been at this plant for over 20 years, and I'm glad we were able to secure such a strong contract. This is going to make a real difference for us and our families. It's a proud moment for all of us who have built our lives around this work and in this town."
