Mesa Flight Attendants Approve New Contract with Wage Increases and Perks
Mesa Flight Attendants Secure New Contract with Overwhelming Support
WASHINGTON, D.C. (October 13, 2025) — In a decisive move, Mesa Flight Attendants have approved a new contract, with an overwhelming 94% of members voting in favor of the agreement. This contract promises wage increases and various enhancements, and marks the beginning of further negotiations alongside their Teamster Local 135 peers at Republic.
Shannon Harris, President of Mesa AFA, emphasized the broader significance of this vote, stating, “This vote is about more than pay. It's about respect, fairness, and equity at the soon-to-be merged airline. This contract provides Mesa Flight Attendants with certainty and guaranteed economic and work rule improvements as we work towards our joint contract.”
Spanning two years, the agreement covers over 550 Mesa Flight Attendants and includes salary hikes, increased per diem allowances, additional holidays, and enhanced furlough protections and scheduling rules. The National Mediation Board's federal mediator, Mike Donatelli, played a key role in achieving this agreement.
Mesa Airlines, based in Phoenix, Arizona, operates Embraer E-175 Aircraft for United Airlines under the United Express banner. Earlier this year, Mesa and Republic Airways announced their merger, which is expected to finalize in the near future.
