Lucas County 911 Dispatchers Ratify New Agreement

On October 8th, dispatchers from the Lucas County 911 Dispatch Unit, represented by UAW Local 12, successfully ratified their second collective bargaining agreement. The bargaining process, which commenced in May, aimed to negotiate improvements for dispatchers under the guidance of the Bargaining Committee.

Key Improvements in the Agreement

The newly ratified agreement introduces several enhancements:

• A $1,000 lump sum payment
• Retroactive pay dated back to July
• A 75% general wage increase distributed over three years
• No hikes in health care premium costs
