Maryland School Bus Staff Win Wage Increases and Enhanced Work Conditions

In a significant move for school transportation staff in Maryland, over 150 drivers and monitors employed by Durham School Services have ratified a pivotal three-year contract, which guarantees improved wages and conditions. This decision, supported by Teamsters Local 570, averted a potential labor strike.

The newly approved contract promises substantial wage enhancements and various other benefits that recognize the critical service these workers provide to the community's families and students. The resounding approval from members highlights their trust in the negotiating team and the value of the newly secured agreements.
