LEXINGTON, Ky., Sept. 11, 2026 — A notable improvement in Lexington's water service has been achieved with the completion of significant water main replacement projects by Kentucky American Water. These upgrades, focused on the North Limestone-Euclid-Fontaine areas, promise enhanced water service reliability and community support for years to come. In recognition of the community's patience, Kentucky American Water extends its gratitude to its customers.

Following these upgrades, the City of Lexington is slated to finish the final restoration and paving in the North Limestone and Fontaine Road locales. Notably, paving along Euclid Avenue will be finalized by Kentucky American Water after September 18, as requested by the city.

The newly installed water mains replace outdated infrastructure, aiming to bolster system resilience, ensure fire safety, minimize the chances of service disruptions, and continuously improve services for the residents and businesses in the area.

Representing a major investment, these projects involved extensive planning, engineering, and construction work, all focused on delivering sustainable advantages to the community.
