In a strategic move to bolster its infrastructure investment capabilities, CBRE Investment Management has brought Nicholas Dempsey on board as a senior director and infrastructure specialist within its client solutions team.
Stationed in London, Dempsey is set to spearhead capital raising initiatives for CBRE IM's infrastructure projects throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. His role will involve collaborating with investment teams and other client solutions leaders to craft bespoke solutions for institutional clients interested in infrastructure ventures.
CBRE IM, a subsidiary of United States-based CBRE, has articulated a keen focus on investing in infrastructure assets aimed at reducing carbon emissions in the built environment.
David Son, who heads infrastructure client solutions at CBRE IM, remarked: “Nicholas will play a key role in helping to grow this platform and connect clients with opportunities aligned with these long-term goals.”
With 11 years of experience in real assets capital formation and investor relations, Dempsey transitions to CBRE IM from Infracapital, where he held a senior position in capital formation and investor relations, managing fundraising and client engagement in the UK, Europe, and Asia. His prior roles include working at AMP Capital, where he was instrumental in raising over $1.5 billion in infrastructure equity and debt strategies, as well as a tenure at BlackRock Real Assets.
