Canadian National Railway (CN) is advancing its expansion strategy with a significant $38 million investment in the state of Iowa, focusing on enhancing track maintenance and infrastructure. This advancement marks a substantial step in the Montreal-based company's broader North American network expansion plans.

The initiative in Iowa is a part of CN's major investment strategy disclosed earlier in May, which outlines a commitment to allocate 3.4 billion Canadian dollars (approximately $2.5 billion USD) to bolster its rail network across the continent.

"Our continued infrastructure investment in Iowa will help strengthen the resiliency and efficiency of our network across the state," stated Tracy Robinson, CN's Chief Executive.

In the previous year, CN dedicated approximately $31 million to Iowa for similar purposes, focusing on track upgrades, capacity building, and enhancements to operations.
