SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. Celebrates 15 Years of Measure A
The 2023 Measure A Annual Report commemorates the 15th anniversary of the voter-approved 0.5 cent transportation sales tax, funding diverse construction projects across Santa Barbara County.
Back in November 2008, a 79 percent majority of voters approved Measure A, making Santa Barbara County one of 25 California counties with this type of transportation sales tax.
Recently, the Santa Barbara U.S. Multimodal Corridor Project received approval for a $132.4 million funding from the California Transportation Commission through Senate Bill 1 for Cycle 3 awards in June 2023.
