(GOLETA, Ca.) – In a significant move, 30 bus employees at Zum Transportation in California have opted to join Teamsters Local 186. This decision marks the start of their journey towards securing a robust Teamster contract aimed at ensuring improved working conditions and a stronger voice in the workplace.

Abel Garcia, Secretary-Treasurer of Teamsters Local 186, expressed his enthusiasm by stating, “These brave workers came to the Teamsters to improve their livelihood, and we are so happy to welcome them.” He further emphasized the importance of negotiating a fair initial contract that offers enhanced wages, benefits, and working conditions, adding, “We’re really grateful to the Teamsters organizers who made this victory possible.”
