(BLACK HAWK, Colo.) – A transformative agreement between the International Brotherhood of Teamsters and Bally’s has set a new precedent in the gaming sector, facilitating a straightforward method for casino employees to achieve union representation. A neutrality agreement now allows workers to be represented by the Teamsters through a card check process.

“The Teamsters Union and Bally’s Black Hawk have come together on an agreement that puts working people first. This is how you raise standards across an entire industry — by giving workers the freedom to unionize without fear,” said Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien. “Bally’s workers are the heart and soul of the company. Now they’ll have the ability to secure the protection, strength, and long-term benefits that come with being Teamsters as they continue to ensure Bally’s remains successful for generations to come.”

The card check system introduced in Black Hawk, Colorado, enables Bally’s employees to designate union representation by signing authorization cards. When a majority in any specific unit consent, Bally’s will acknowledge them as part of the Teamsters.

“Our people are at the heart of everything we do,” said Soo Kim, Chairman of Bally’s Corporation. “This agreement reflects our commitment to listening, learning, and working together with the Teamsters to support our employees and the communities where we live and operate.”

This partnership fosters a cooperative environment where Bally’s and the Teamsters can jointly address challenges and advance common objectives, such as enhancing workplace conditions, bolstering community strength, and promoting sustainable opportunities for the future.

Established in 1903, the International Brotherhood of Teamsters represents 1.3 million hardworking people in the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico. Visit Teamster.org for more information. Follow them on X @Teamsters and Facebook at Facebook.com/teamsters.
