Governor Shapiro Announces Urban Outfitters' Investment and Job Growth

Urban Outfitters' Expansion in Pennsylvania to Boost Employment

Urban Outfitters, Inc. has announced a significant expansion of its operations within Pennsylvania, promising to create over 1,000 new job opportunities. This development is part of a strategic investment plan highlighted by Governor Shapiro, aimed at bolstering the local economy in both Philadelphia and Bucks County.

The company, with its roots firmly planted in Pennsylvania, is set to add at least 450 positions at its existing headquarters located at Philadelphia’s Navy Yard. In addition to this, a new state-of-the-art facility for Urban Outfitters' Nuuly brand will be established in Bucks County, generating a minimum of 600 new jobs.

Governor Shapiro expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “This expansion by a homegrown, Pennsylvania-based company is a testament to the strength of our workforce and the attractiveness of our state for businesses looking to grow.”

The initiative aligns with Pennsylvania's broader economic development goals, leveraging local talent and resources to attract and retain businesses. For more detailed information about this investment, visit the PA Department of Community & Economic Development.
