New Georgia Travel Guide Unveiled to Boost Tourism in 2025

The state of Georgia has unveiled its comprehensive 2025 Travel Guide, a 130-page resource aimed at tourists eager to explore the Peach State. This guide is packed with information from popular attractions to hidden treasures, serving as an indispensable tool for planning trips in 2025.

Governor Brian Kemp expressed enthusiasm for the guide, noting its importance in highlighting Georgia's unique offerings. “Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a lifelong Georgian, this year’s travel guide will help you find a reason to keep Georgia on your mind,” he commented. He emphasized the guide's role in boosting local economies by promoting tourism across diverse communities.

This year’s guide features an innovative four-tab cover, showcasing Georgia's varied landscapes. From Toccoa Falls in the mountains to the coastal beauty of Sapelo Island, these images capture the essence of Georgia’s diverse tourism appeal. Additionally, the guide highlights dynamic cities like Columbus and picturesque towns such as Covington.

Pat Wilson, Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Economic Development, emphasized the economic significance of tourism. “Tourism plays a key role in driving economic growth and elevating our state’s global appeal,” Wilson stated, underscoring the guide's potential to attract not only tourists but also business leaders and film producers.

The guide, informed by visitor data and trends, offers a variety of travel ideas. These include:

  • “Best Trips of 2025”: A collection of must-see experiences throughout the year.
  • “Ready, Set, Outdoors”: Featuring outdoor adventures and natural wonders at Georgia State Parks.

With record-breaking tourism numbers in 2023, including 171 million visitors and $43.6 billion in spending, the guide aims to sustain this momentum into 2025. It's available for free at Georgia Visitor Information Centers, online, by phone, and through various tourism partners.
