Local 1932 Organizes Third Water Agency in California's Low Desert

(INDIO, Calif.) – Employees at the Indio Water Authority (IWA) have decisively chosen to become part of Teamsters Local 1932, marking a significant development for the Low Desert community. This move signifies a shift towards collective bargaining and enhanced workplace rights for these crucial public service workers.

The workers at IWA, who are essential in providing clean and dependable water to Indio's households and businesses, secured a collective voice by joining the union. This decision underscores their commitment to advocating for fair treatment and improved workplace conditions.
