(BEAVERTON, Ore.) – A group of 198 emergency medical service (EMS) professionals, including dispatchers, technicians, and paramedics at American Medical Response (AMR) in Washington County, have successfully secured a favorable outcome in their quest for better working conditions. Represented by Teamsters Local 223, they have ratified their first collective bargaining agreement. This landmark three-year deal promises wage increases, signing bonuses, an eight percent 401(k) match, and enhanced vacation policies.
Negotiating committee member Megan Conti highlighted the significance of this achievement, stating, “This contract is the first labor agreement for EMS workers in our area. It’s remarkable to have been a part of this landmark accomplishment and to see the fruit of organized labor pay off in the form of a strong collective bargaining agreement.”
