PSA Flight Attendants Rally for Equal Pay and New Contract with American

Flight Attendants highlight pay disparities between regional and mainline carriers

CHARLOTTE (March 26, 2025) — PSA Airlines' Flight Attendants staged nationwide protests on March 26, advocating for a fair contract. PSA Airlines operates as a subsidiary of American Airlines.

Flight Attendants are crucial to passenger safety and health, yet those at PSA Airlines, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA, receive wages significantly lower than their American Airlines counterparts—averaging 45% less in pay.

"The entire country is keenly aware of the value that Flight Attendants bring to our airlines," stated Lee Wilkes, AFA PSA President. "It couldn't be more clear as Flight Attendants at PSA. We expect management to come to the table next week with the respect that we are due and the contract we have earned."

While employed by PSA, American Airlines management oversees pay and conditions for American Eagle carriers. PSA Flight Attendants are calling for parity in contract terms with mainline employees, including significant pay raises, boarding pay, retroactive pay, and improved scheduling.

The protests underscored the solidarity among PSA Flight Attendants, who have overwhelmingly voted—99.2% in favor—to authorize a strike as negotiations extend into their second year. They seek a contract that ensures a living wage for those responsible for passenger safety.
