Major Wins for Keurig Dr. Pepper-7Up Workers in Michigan

(DETROIT) – Workers at the Keurig Dr. Pepper-7Up facility in Redford, Michigan, have secured a new contract that promises considerable improvements. The workforce, represented by Teamsters Local 337, includes a diverse group of over 100 employees such as drivers, mechanics, and those in warehousing and vending roles.

Jeff Padellaro, who leads the Teamsters Brewery, Bakery, and Soft Drink Conference, emphasized the unity and focus of the group during negotiations: “We achieved this great contract because this group stuck together and remained focused throughout negotiations. Our members held the company accountable and were able to get a strong contract that they unanimously supported.”

Todd Lince, the President of Local 337, also praised the team's efforts and highlighted their determination. “I am extremely proud of these members, stewards, and Business Agent Tom Alexander. This group sent a clear message that we were not going to back down and negotiated a contract that honors their hard work,” he stated.

The newly ratified contract includes notable enhancements for the workers. These include a significant 22 percent increase in wages, additional paid leave days, increased retirement benefits, and nearly doubled base pay for drivers working on Saturdays.

Mike Beatty, a steward and a longstanding member of the union, remarked on the success of the negotiations: “We fought hard for this contract, and it is the best agreement we have ever had.”
