United Airlines and Flight Attendants Union Reach Tentative Agreement
CHICAGO (May 23, 2025) - A tentative agreement has been reached between United Airlines and the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA), representing 28,000 flight attendants. This agreement marks a significant milestone for the parties involved.
The agreement offers several benefits, including:
- Compensation that leads the industry
- Enhancements in hotel accommodations, scheduling, and reserve procedures
- A 40% increase in total economic benefits within the first year for flight attendants
- Exceptional retroactive pay
On May 29th and 30th, the elected leaders representing the flight attendants will convene to thoroughly evaluate the agreement's specifics. Following their review, a decision will be made on whether to put the agreement forward for member ratification. Detailed information about the agreement will remain confidential until after this leadership review.
